Wink news anchor leaves5/16/2023 We have lived in Cape Coral for 40 years and always watched your weather cast. Thank you for all you have given us during our storms and wonderful weather. The best of wishes to you on your retirement. May you have good health and a great retirement. We will miss him very much, but we hope he enjoys his retirement. My wife and I moved to Florida in 1991 and enjoyed Jim Farrell’s weather forecasts since he came to Wink News. Oh!….how you will be missed! Well deserved, and you enjoy every second! Happy retirement to you!! Enjoy retirement you have definitely earned it. I as many others will miss your calm demeanor during times of impending natural disasters. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I relied on you over my career to prepare for the worst of weather south Florida has to offer. Jim, as a retired first responder in Lee county. You are a great forecaster and a true professional. I remember when you came to our area to do our weather. I always enjoyed getting our weather forecast from you all these years. Thanks, Jim for the great job you have done over the years. You were very dependable and always had a great smile. Thank you, Jim Farrell, for being a great meteorologist.
